Qualifications

• Graduate Nurse – Prelicensure duties under Maine Nurse Practice Act and Mercy Hospital standards.
• Delivery of patient care within a primary nursing model.
• Addresses physical, spiritual, emotional and educational needs of patients and families.
• Collaborates with healthcare team to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Completes continuing education and attends required staff meetings.

Responsibilities

• Patient Assessment: conduct ongoing assessment with RN oversight; document findings.
• Care Planning: develop a detailed plan of care with patient/family input.
• Care Implementation: perform nursing actions to achieve outcomes under RN guidance.
• Outcome Evaluation: reassess and modify the plan of care as needed.
• Professional Practice/Leadership: participate in learning, preceptorship and team activities.
• Perform additional duties as required.
