Job summary

Maine Medical Center is seeking an entry-level Clinical Nurse (RN) I with 0–1 year of RN experience for its Float Pool. The role focuses on Med/Surg, Telemetry, and high-acuity units within Maine's Magnet-designated hospital and level 1 Trauma Center.

All new grads are automatically enrolled in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program with unit-based employment. Licensed RNs in Maine are welcomed, with BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Maine.
• New graduates eligible; Med/surg experience preferred.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Residency program enrollment is automatic for new grads.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement, document and evaluate nursing care.
• Coordinate care from initial contact to continuum across inpatient/outpatient settings.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care within Maine Medical Center policies.
