Job summary

MaineGeneral Health is seeking an experienced Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to support multiple units across the organization on a 36-hour, three 12-hour night shifts schedule.

New graduates are encouraged to apply; cross-training across departments is expected to build multiple competencies. Eligible nurses will receive a $4,000 Early Acceptance Incentive for nursing students who apply early. Competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain in a timely fashion.
• New graduate RNs encouraged to apply!
• Willingness to cross-train to many departments and achieve multiple competencies.

Responsibilities

• Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on assessment to optimize outcomes.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition; coordinates care across disciplines.
• Provides patient/family education; delegates care to ancillary staff; may precept students.
