IMEG Corp. is hiring a Mechanical Engineering New Graduate in Freeport, ME. This entry-level position offers hands-on design, analysis, and project execution experience with mentorship, training, and growth opportunities from day one.

You will support mechanical systems for the commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors, collaborating across disciplines and contributing to energy-efficient design aligned with industry standards. This is an in-office, full-time role with up to 5% travel.

Formación

• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and concepts for technical plans and specs.
• Strong analytical skills in thermodynamics, heat transfer and fluid mechanics for building systems.
• Experience with HVAC load calculation software and industry tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Basic familiarity with BIM software.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Up to 5% travel with occasional overnight stays.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in design and analysis of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems with detailed designs, specs and calculations per code and IMEG standards.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical information.
• Support project execution and assist with planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and client instructions while tracking progress.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in quality control to ensure designs meet requirements.
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices.
• Contribute to R&D and innovation efforts.
• Identify and mitigate safety risks in mechanical systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
