Job summary

SpaceX is hiring a New Graduate Mechanical Engineer for Starlink, focusing on mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing support for satellite hardware. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or related STEM field.
Experience with CAD and FEA software.
1+ year of mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing.
Graduating winter 2026 or spring/summer 2027.

Responsibilities

Own hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production and on-orbit operation.
Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization.
Rapidly iterate on designs and analysis to inform trades and direction.
Drive holistic DFM to reduce parts and enable robust fabrication and integration.
Establish an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain to final integration.
Perform environmental and performance testing to validate design criteria.
Own product delivery timeline from conception to launch.
