SpaceX is hiring a NEW GRADUATE ENGINEER, MECHANICAL at the Bastrop site to design and bring Starlink/Starmind hardware from concept to high-volume production. You’ll develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization.

The role involves building production lines, robot end effectors, process development, control systems, automation programming, and refining processes for high-rate, high-yield manufacturing with a focus on quality and manufacturability.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace, or other STEM field.
• 1+ years of mechanical/electromechanical design, analysis, testing, or manufacturing experience (internships/co-ops acceptable).
• Graduating in the class of 2026 or 2027.

Mansioni

• Own Starlink/Starmind hardware from conceptual design through high-volume production.
• Develop design criteria, collaborate on requirements, and drive system-level optimization.
• Design and develop production lines, including robot end effector design, process development, control system design, automation programming, and more.
• Refine the production system to create high-rate, high-yield, and reliable processes.
• Identify trends and opportunities to optimize output, quality, and manufacturability costs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical system problems, coordinate maintenance and material procurement.
• Challenge assumptions and seek simple solutions to complex problems.
