Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking current or former interns to join the team as inspectors. You will perform daily field inspection of routine activities, maintain logs, and ensure work complies with plans and contract provisions.

The role involves on-site testing, reporting, and collaboration with Field Engineers in a multi-location setting. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and at least 3 years of construction-related experience, along with applicable jurisdictional certificates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and 3 years of construction related experience.
• All required jurisdictional certificates and state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Observes, documents, and verifies work in progress by the construction contractor to ensure compliance with contract documents and plans.
• Utilizes engineering inspection practices to perform standard mathematical calculations and measurements of completed work to date.
• Maintains Inspector's daily report of assigned work activities, contractor labor and equipment, quantity of material received and verified.
• Performs on-site material testing and produces as-constructed sketches as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
