Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care Norfolk seeks a Registered Nurse Applicant to support the dialysis care team under supervision of a Staff RN. The role emphasizes delivering quality patient care aligned with FMCNA policies and CQI goals.

The nurse will educate patients about ESRD, dialysis therapy, medications, and diet, assist with treatment administration, documentation, and coordination with physicians, and participate in ongoing staff training.

Qualifications

• Must obtain nursing license/registration within state regulations or within 90 days of hire.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing program.
• Current appropriate state Temporary Permit.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state in which employed.

Responsibilities

• Directs safe and effective delivery of chronic hemodialysis therapy.
• Educates patients regarding ESRD, dialysis therapy, diet, and medications.
• Documents treatment parameters and patient responses accurately.
• Collaborates with physicians and other staff to coordinate care.
• Participates in staff training and CQI activities.
