Carbon Health is offering a New Grad Opportunity for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to join a fellowship in urgent care. The program provides mentorship, clinical rounds, and proctored shifts within a dynamic startup environment aiming to change healthcare delivery.

Fellow compensation is $104,000 annually plus benefits. Full-time and part-time positions may be available upon successful completion of the fellowship, with strong educational experiences and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with current licenses and national certification.
• Willingness to obtain DOT certification prior to start date.
• Willingness to obtain BLS certification prior to employment start.

Responsabilités

• Provide urgent care treatment including exams, assessments, and diagnoses.
• Order and interpret x-rays, labs, and EKGs.
• Triage patients to maintain an efficient flow and reduce wait times.
• Perform digital blocks, regional anesthesia, and minor surgical procedures (e.g., wound closure, I&D).
• Perform joint injections, fracture reductions, and orthopedic immobilization.

What You'll Learn

• Provide exceptional treatment, collaborative care options (within the scope of urgent care), including physical examinations, assessments, diagnosis and treatment
• Order and interpret x-rays, lab results and EKGs
• Triage and manage patients thoroughly and efficiently, maintaining a steady flow to avoid long wait times
• Perform digital blocks and regional anesthesia, and minor surgical procedures, such as wound closure and management, I&D, foreign body removal
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, such as aspirations and injection of joints, bursas, and cysts
• Perform closed reductions of simple fractures or dislocations of fingers/toes, including nursemaid's elbow reductions
• Apply and modify braces, splints, and other orthopedic appliances

About You

• Physician Assistant: Medical/Master's degree with a valid state license and national certification
• Nurse Practitioner: RN license, NP certification, and a valid state license
• Must be willing to obtain DOT certification prior to start date
• Willingness to obtain BLS certification prior to employment start
