Job summary

Mercury Hampton seeks a Technical Sales Manager for the New England territory to drive growth in high‑performance cutting tools for aerospace and medical manufacturing. You will grow existing customer relationships, cultivate new accounts, and coordinate with distribution partners across CT, ME, MA, NH, RI and VT.

The role requires deep knowledge of metallurgy and carbide tooling, the ability to read technical drawings, and a proactive, travel‑heavy schedule with frequent customer visits and

Qualifications

• Proven experience in cutting-tool technology or a closely related machining environment.
• Strong knowledge of metallurgy and carbide tooling.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and communicate machining concepts.
• Mechanical engineering education or equivalent technical background.
• Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the New England territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales across the New England territory.
• Manage and expand relationships with customers and distribution partners.
• Promote and sell standard and bespoke cutting tools.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities.
• Visit customers and partners regularly and provide technical support.
• Deliver product training and organize technical seminars.
• Prepare quotations for standard and special tools.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve customer queries and maintain CRM records.
