What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Prospect and research potential school and district partners to initiate outreach
- Qualify leads by understanding their needs and set up appointments for Account Managers
- Build relationships with educators and administrators to promote Scholastic Reading Events
- Maintain records of interactions and track progress toward sales goals in the CRM system
- Collaborate with the sales team to enhance lead generation strategies and stay informed on industry trends
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or a related field
- Minimum of three (3) years of proven successful sales experience in retail or district/territory sales
- Proficiency with MS Office software and experience with Sales Automation or CRM software
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with children’s literature, Book Fairs, and school activities
- Experience in event management or personal selling
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and execute a vision
- Proficient in marketing and merchandising strategy and execution
