Job summary

OptumCare Nevada is seeking a Nevada IPA Network Medical Director to provide clinical leadership for the IPA network and partner with physicians, practices, and cross-functional market teams to improve quality, affordability, access, provider experience, and patient experience across the Nevada market.

This physician leader will work closely with senior physician leaders, operations, risk and quality, finance, patient experience, and network management to drive meaningful performance outcomes,

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree required.
• Active, unrestricted Nevada medical license required.
• Current board certification required.
• At least five years of clinical practice after residency, with outpatient experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead IPA network clinical strategy and performance for primary care physicians.
• Collaborate with Network Managers, senior leaders, and operations to reach market goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with contracted providers through field engagement and visits.
• Represent the organization as a clinical partner aligning network strategy with value-based care goals.
• Improve quality measures (HEDIS), risk adjustment, and patient experience across contracted IPA offices.
• Develop network-wide programs to boost quality, risk, and financial outcomes with ROI considerations.
• Support CAHPS/HOS and NPS improvements with patient experience leaders.
• Coach clinicians and practices to drive continuous improvement across the network.
• Collaborate with specialty network to enhance quality, access, and affordability.
