Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking an experienced radiologic technologist to perform specialized neuro/vascular/interventional radiographic procedures. The role requires strong anatomy knowledge, technical competence, and the ability to work with limited supervision on patients from neonate to geriatric.

Hours are 40 weekly on a day shift with on-call responsibilities. A $10,000 sign-on bonus and $5,000 relocation assistance are offered to qualify applicants.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology.
• ARRT registration required.
• Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Position patient and prep access site per standard practice.
• Perform time-out utilizing appropriate PPE and safety checklist.
• Conduct patient safety checklist prior to the case.
• Demonstrate knowledge of organizational policies and procedures.
• Identify changes in patient condition and notify appropriate resources.
• Adjust workflow as case needs dictate.
• Provide patient care with the necessary equipment and supplies in the procedure suite.
• Educate the patient on procedure expectations before, during, and after the procedure.
• Instruct on post-procedural limitations and restrictions.
• Transport the patient to and from the procedural room.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary partners and participate in performance improvement activities.
