Job summary

The role includes on-call rotations, occasional weekend/holiday coverage, and travel to off-site locations as needed. NBSTSA CST certification and BLS are required, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• NBSTSA CST certification within four months of employment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ability to resource advanced technology.
• 15 continuing education units annually as required by state law.
• Knowledge of surgical procedures to anticipate surgeon needs within 12 months.
• Knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
• Strict adherence to sterile field policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care in clinic and operating room.
• Prepare, maintain, and pass surgical instrumentation and equipment.
• Support procedures and maintain efficient surgical workflows.
• Turnover the operating room after procedures and ensure proper routing of specimens and supplies.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff as part of the surgical team.
