Job summary
Duke University in Durham is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for the Department of Neurosurgery – Spine Team. The APP will provide direct patient care services and collaborate with supervising physicians to triage and evaluate new spine patients. Primary hours are Monday to Friday, with flexibility to meet patient needs.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's degree as a Physician Assistant, with a preference for neurosurgery or orthopedic spine experience. Duke offers a competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.
Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Must have BLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient histories and physical examinations.
- Order and schedule laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitor patient progress and report to supervising physician.
- Participate in research projects if interested.
