Job summary

UNC Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join the Neurosurgery - Spine Team in an outpatient capacity in Chapel Hill, NC. The APP will collaborate with neurosurgeons to evaluate and manage patients with spine conditions, deformities, and oncology, performing comprehensive assessments and coordinating care.

Responsibilities include ordering tests, interpreting results, creating evidence-based treatment plans, and providing pre-/post-operative education.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited graduate-level Advanced Practice Provider program.
• Licensed as an Advanced Practice Provider in North Carolina.
• Board certification if required by the Department; DEA.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and perform physical assessments.
• Order/interpret diagnostic tests and imaging; develop treatment plans.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and patient education.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes.
• Lead/participate in system/quality improvement projects.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure proper documentation.
