Job summary

Banner Health’s Neuroscience Clinic in Glendale, AZ is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to join our high-volume team. The role schedules surgical, cardiovascular or obstetrical procedures using a computerized system, while entering orders and charges and reporting statistics for management.

You will work with physicians, staff and patients in a friendly, patient‑focused environment, ensuring accurate data and smooth clinic operations. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Typically 2 years of medical clerical experience, preferably in scheduling.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of payor contract terms and processes.
• Excellent organizational, human relations and communication skills.
• Ability to use word processing, spreadsheet software and computerized scheduling systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates case times for elective, urgent or emergent surgeries in a scheduling system.
• Enters physician orders, charges and patient data; compiles reports for management.
• Acts as receptionist and liaison among patients, physicians and staff; maintains confidentiality.
• Maintains facility/work orders and supplies as required by the department.
• Ensures smooth workflow in the assigned unit and handles high‑stress situations with minimal supervision.
