Job summary

Riverside Neurosurgical & Spine Specialists in Newport News, Virginia, seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (PA or NP, including Family Nurse Practitioners) to join our Neurosurgery team. The role centers on outpatient newborn consultations, postoperative follow-up, and assisting in the operating room with the neurosurgeon.

Candidates should hold an accredited NP/PA program, Virginia APRN license or be eligible, and be board-certified or board-eligible.

Qualifications

• Virginia APRN license or eligibility required.
• Board Certification or eligibility required.
• DEA registration required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Collaborative approach with physicians and providers.
• Neurosurgery experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient clinic focusing on new patient consults and postoperative follow-up.
• OR assistance with the Neurosurgeon.
