Job summary

Riverside Medical Group in Newport News, Virginia is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) to join the Neurosurgery team at Riverside Regional Medical Center. The role includes outpatient visits, pre- and post-operative care, and OR assistance as part of a highly collaborative group dedicated to patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Applicants should hold a Virginia NP/PA license or be eligible, with Board Certification or Eligibility, and DEA registration or ability to obtain.

Qualifications

• Current Virginia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility for licensure in Virginia
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility
• Valid DEA registration or ability to obtain
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Collaborative approach to patient care and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Commitment to maintaining highest professional and clinical standards

Responsibilities

• Conducting outpatient clinic visits, including new patient consultations and postoperative follow-up
• Assisting neurosurgeons in the operating room
• Participating in inpatient and outpatient patient management as needed
• Supporting evidence-based practice initiatives and quality patient outcomes
• Serving as a key member of Riverside’s Comprehensive Neurosurgical Program
