Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong computer skills and excellent interpersonal/communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam by taking and recording vital signs and chief complaint.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures; take BP, pulse, temp; perform phlebotomies.
• Coordinate patient care including referrals, scheduling, and test results communication.
• Provide clerical support and maintain medical records for billing and documentation.
• Maintain clean exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and follow OSHA guidelines.
• Order supplies and manage medications as directed.
• Develop effective communication with internal and external customers and onboarding processes.
• Work under the supervision of providers and coordinate with staff for patient care.
