Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge and completion of an approved medical assistant training program.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification and BLS certification are required.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card may be required for Behavioral Health settings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for exam and treatment by taking and recording vital signs and documenting chief complaint.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures and coordinate patient flow.
• Coordinate and manage patient care including referrals, scheduling, and communication of test results.
• Provide clerical support and maintain complete medical records and billing information.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and manage supplies as directed.
