Job summary

Northwest Indiana Health System in the Greater Chicagoland area seeks a Neurosurgeon to join a physician-led group practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible, with a valid Indiana license or eligibility, you will perform cranial and complex spine procedures in a HIMSS Stage VII environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited US medical school or international equivalent (MD or DO).
• Completed an ACGME-accredited Neurological Surgery residency; Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Active and unrestricted Indiana medical license (or eligible for state licensure within 90–120 days).
• Demonstrates high clinical and surgical competency in general neurosurgery and/or subspecialty fellowship areas (e.g., spine, vascular, skull base, neuro-oncology).

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cranial and complex/general spine neurosurgical care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical suite environments.
• Conduct clinical evaluations, patient workups, and perform elective and emergent neurosurgical procedures.
• Participate in an equitable, shared neurosurgery call rotation.
• Utilize advanced surgical technology, intraoperative imaging, and EPIC EHR with AI-driven documentation enhancements.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including neurologists, orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management specialists, and critical care teams.
• Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives, safety protocols, and optimal patient care pathways.
