Job summary

Compass Pathways seeks a Neuroscience Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive adoption of a novel mental health therapy in a field-based role across Indianapolis and surrounding territory.

You will build trusted partnerships with psychiatrists, treatment centers and payers, deliver clinically accurate education, support patient access, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to enable successful launch. This role requires up to 70% travel, reporting to the Regional Sales Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets is preferred.
• Experience with medical and pharmacy benefit reimbursement, buy-and-bill, site-of-care dynamics, and payer processes is preferred.
• Proven track record launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.
• Experience with specialty treatment centers, IDNs, academic medical centers, or complex site-of-care models is preferred.
• Strong clinical acumen and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated ability to build trust-based relationships with healthcare providers.
• Highly collaborative with strong territory management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of the therapy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, behavioral health systems, and other stakeholders.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant, and compelling product and disease-state education to healthcare providers.
• Identify appropriate patients and support providers in understanding referral pathways.
• Collaborate with certified treatment sites to support onboarding, readiness, and optimization of delivery workflows.
• Navigate site-of-care dynamics, including scheduling, patient flow, and operational considerations.
• Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and helping providers with access-related challenges.
• Gather and communicate field insights to inform brand strategy and launch execution.
• Manage territory business planning, including account prioritization and call planning.
• Demonstrate ethical, compliant, and patient-centric behaviors; contribute to a collaborative culture.
