Job summary

Compass Pathways seeks a Neuroscience Therapeutic Sales Specialist in Worcester, MA. This field-based role drives adoption of a novel mental health therapy, building partnerships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and care systems while aligning with regulatory and patient-access frameworks.

You will operate at the intersection of clinical education, account management, and access strategies, traveling up to 70% to support launch readiness and ongoing uptake.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required (advanced degree preferred).
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets and payer processes preferred.
• Demonstrated success launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.
• Experience with specialty treatment centers, IDNs, academic medical centers, or complex site-of-care models preferred.
• Strong clinical acumen and ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly.
• Proven track record of building trust-based relationships with healthcare providers.
• Highly collaborative with cross-functional teams; strong territory management skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy for launch and uptake of the therapy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and health systems.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant education to healthcare providers.
• Identify appropriate patients and assist with referral pathways.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Support, and Commercial Operations.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and payer challenges.
• Gather field insights to inform brand strategy and launch execution.
• Manage territory business planning, call plans, and performance tracking.
