Job summary

Compass Pathways seeks a field-based Therapeutic Sales Specialist to drive adoption of our innovative mental health therapy in Durham, NC and surrounding areas. You will partner with psychiatrists and treatment centers, delivering compliant clinical education and navigating payer pathways to support patient access.

The role emphasizes territory management, cross-functional collaboration, and a consultative approach as we prepare for launch in a highly regulated site-of-care model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• 5–8+ years of pharmaceutical or biotech sales experience, preferably in specialty or complex therapeutic areas.
• Experience in psychiatry, CNS, or behavioral health markets; reimbursement and site-of-care dynamics; prior authorization and payer processes.
• Proven track record launching novel therapies or operating in pre-launch environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute territory-level commercial strategy to support launch and uptake of the therapy.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with psychiatrists, treatment centers, and health systems.
• Deliver scientifically accurate, compliant education to healthcare providers.
• Support patient access by understanding reimbursement pathways and payer processes.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure aligned execution and site readiness.
