Job summary

CAMP4 Therapeutics is seeking a Scientist I/II to join the Discovery team in Watertown, MA, focusing on functional and phenotypic assays in human iPSC-derived neurons to advance CNS programs. You will work with MEA, calcium imaging, and high-content imaging to characterize disease-relevant phenotypes and ASO rescue effects.

The role involves designing and executing experiments, collaborating across disciplines, and maintaining thorough records for regulatory submissions.

Qualifications

  • PhD in neuroscience, molecular biology, cell biology, or a related discipline; 0–3 years post-degree experience.
  • Hands-on experience with neuronal functional or phenotypic assays (MEA, calcium imaging, high-content imaging).
  • Strong mammalian cell culture skills in human iPSC-derived neurons or related systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and implement functional and phenotypic assays in human iPSC-derived neurons (MEA, calcium imaging, high-content imaging).
  • Establish disease-relevant neuronal phenotypes and evaluate responses to candidate ASOs.
  • Design experiments for target validation and selection across CNS programs.
  • Develop cellular and biochemical assays to assess target engagement and downstream effects of ASOs.
  • Analyze, interpret, and communicate results to project teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate assay data with molecular and genomic information.
  • Maintain detailed records for regulatory documentation of ASOs.
