Job summary

Genentech is seeking a Scientist 2 in Neuroscience Discovery & iPSC Assay Development to advance discovery research and drug development within the Neuroscience team. You will leverage human iPSCs to generate CNS cell models, run functional assays, and support disease-relevant phenotyping with rigorous data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's with relevant iPSC experience.
• Proficiency in iPSC maintenance, banking, and CNS differentiation.
• Experience in molecular biology, imaging, and high-content assays.

Responsibilities

• Culture, bank, and quality control of human iPSCs; differentiate into CNS lineages.
• Manage primary neuronal cultures for functional studies.
• Design, optimize, and execute cell-based assays for neuroscience programs.
• Support genetic and pharmacological proof-of-concept studies.
• Document data with ELN and ensure reproducibility.
• Present findings to multidisciplinary teams; oversee iPSC lab operations.
