Job summary

Acadia is seeking a Neuroscience Sales Specialist to drive sales within the Knoxville territory by building strong relationships with healthcare professionals and delivering compliant product education. You will influence payer decisions, manage access considerations, and coordinate with managed markets and marketing to execute a robust territory plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; life sciences preferred.
• 1-2 years pharma/healthcare sales experience (neuroscience preferred).
• Sr. Sales Specialist: 5 years healthcare sales (2+ in complex/account-based).
• Executive Specialist: 12 years healthcare sales (3+ in complex/account-based).
• Advanced selling, leadership, business acumen; influence diverse HCP audiences.
• Must live within territory (or within 30 miles) and have a valid driver's license.
• Travel: significant driving/overnights; up to ~80% (air travel as needed).
• Must comply with vaccination requirements for HCP access.

Responsibilities

• Promote Acadia products to HCPs in person and virtually with clinical, disease state, and reimbursement information.
• Develop and execute a territory business plan using market data, customer insights, and quarterly action plans.
• Build relationships with HCPs (including key opinion leaders) and healthcare stakeholders.
• Address questions/objections using advanced selling skills.
• Tailor approved sales aids, clinical reprints, and brand resources to customer needs.
• Coordinate with internal teams (managed markets, operations, sales training, marketing).
• Advise on product pricing, reimbursement, and specialty distribution; act as a liaison for access issues.
• Track/report sales activities, expenses, and customer interactions.
• Represent Acadia at conferences and meetings; participate as required.
• Mentor/train new sales specialists and support cross-functional projects.
