Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Pharmaceutical Sales professional to execute and promote products in the assigned territory, aligned with our sales strategy. You will collaborate with the District Sales Manager, analyze local markets, build relationships with psychiatrists and Community Mental Health Centers, and manage resources, travel, and credentialing requirements.

Qualifications

• BS or BA with GPA > 3.0.
• Minimum 3 years of pharmaceutical sales experience preferred (may consider Associate).
• Atypical anti-psychotic and/or orphan drug experience preferred.
• Specialty experience in psychiatry, bipolar, depression, CNS, or pain management preferred.
• Reimbursement experience preferred.
• Existing relationships with psychiatrists and/or Community Mental Health Centers in the territory preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving history.
• Self-starter with goal/results-driven, hunter mentality.
• Strong territory relationships/knowledge.
• Ability to travel (including overnights); may require out-of-territory travel and meetings outside normal hours.
• Must reside within territory geography.

Responsibilities

• Execute and promote products aligned to sales strategy in the assigned territory.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager on day-to-day sales and product promotion strategy.
• Analyze local market; develop, execute, and monitor performance to maximize product use in the defined territory.
• Maintain up-to-date product, disease, competitive, and market reimbursement knowledge.
• Determine, implement, and monitor optimal resource allocation (budgets, time, etc.) within the assigned territory.
• Use advanced selling and negotiation skills to communicate persuasively with target audiences.
• Identify, build, and leverage advocacy channels.
• Secure product access and reimbursement within institutional systems as needed.
• Manage travel and promotional budget.
• Complete monitoring and reporting (expenses and call reporting) using approved systems.
• Meet industry-standard credentialing requirements for healthcare providers and customer facilities.
