Mass General Brigham seeks a Laboratory Manager to lead the Khurana Lab's day-to-day operations and ensure smooth, proactive management of shared resources, equipment, supplies, workflows, and documentation to keep research projects moving forward efficiently.

The role combines hands-on scientific support with operational leadership, supervising staff, coordinating with internal teams, and liaising with sponsors to support research goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biology, neuroscience, molecular/cellular biology, bioengineering, or related field required; advanced degree is a plus.
• 3–5+ years of progressively responsible research experience in an academic, biotechnology, or biomedical research laboratory.
• Experience managing lab operations, budgeting, and coordinating staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day laboratory operations and coordinate shared resources.
• Oversee equipment readiness, maintenance, and service scheduling.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, and procurement processes.
• Train staff and visiting researchers on workflows and safety.
• Ensure documentation, SOPs, and reproducibility across projects.
• Communicate proactively with PI and team to align priorities.
