Job summary

Mass General Brigham seeks a Lead Clinical Research Coordinator to oversee Manoach Lab operations, focusing on study conduct, administration, and budget management. The role collaborates with multiple departments and external labs to advance research initiatives.

The candidate will monitor and direct research programs, contribute to data processing, and communicate findings with the PI and team. Strong organizational and independent work style is essential.

Qualifications

• Strong project management skills.
• Strong analytic skills; able to understand financial data and manage complex grant portfolio.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership ability: provide support and direction to staff.
• Fluency with and ability to independently learn spreadsheet, database, word processing programs.
• Experience and familiarity with eRA Commons and ASSIST is a plus.
• Can work independently, checking in when necessary.
• Comfort working with clinical research populations.
• Experience conducting research studies with EEG/MRI scanning is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and monitors clinical research coordinators in studies and SOPs.
• Resolves problems; works with staff to identify and implement system improvements.
• Develops and oversees record keeping for studies per IRB/HIPAA guidelines.
• Leads implementation of new research protocols with coordinators.
• Liaises with Clinical Research Center, labs, pharmacy; participates in data acquisition.
• Oversees lab budget with PI and adjusts salary distributions.
• Verifies monthly financial reports; reports updates to PI.
• Submits and monitors grant proposals via InfoED; liaises with grants admin.
• Manages purchasing; maintains equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Manages the hiring process.
• Prepares, submits, tracks, and manages all IRB correspondence & submissions.
• Submits study progress reports as required.
• Assists in manuscript writing and preparation.
