Job summary

Lundbeck is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead a high-performing team in the North Texas area, covering a multi-specialty psychiatry portfolio. You will shape strategic plans, coach Account Managers, and build key relationships with providers and payers to drive growth.

You will guide market access messaging and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize execution, travel up to 70%, and ensure compliance while achieving ambitious sales goals.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 3+ years sales management experience in Pharmaceutical, Biopharmaceuticals, Biologics or related field.
• Internal candidates: 1 year commercial experience or 2 years consistent Lundbeck sales.
• Documented track record of sales success and financial management.
• Demonstrated leadership with ability to train and provide feedback to account managers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Must live within 100 miles of territory boundaries.
• Must meet credentialing requirements for healthcare providers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, develop, and manage a diverse, high-performing Account Manager team.
• Set and execute area strategic direction and tactical sales plans to meet goals.
• Identify local market systems of care, patient flow, reimbursement, and offer innovative solutions.
• Build strategic relationships with KOLs, advocacy groups, and committees.
• Monitor execution of marketing plans and coach performance through regular feedback.
• Align sales with cross-functional teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality output.
• Analyze sales reports and adapt plans to deliver results.
• Travel up to 70% domestically to meet customers and attend conferences.
