Job summary

Shionogi Inc. is seeking a Neurology Account Specialist to cover the Raleigh, NC area in a field-based role.

You will meet sales goals by executing an integrated territory plan, engaging healthcare professionals with scientific discussions, and leveraging approved materials. You will analyze data to identify growth opportunities, coordinate with Medical, Patient Access, and regional teams, and build long-term relationships with ALS centers and hospital staff.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree.
• Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical sales experience, including at least 2 years experience in Neurology, and/or CNS.
• Sound understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and regulations/guidelines pertaining to pharmaceutical sales.
• Experience with new product launches.
• Highly self-directed, committed to excellence, possess an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Strong selling skills with track record of sales success particularly with new product launches.
• Polished, professional image coupled with outstanding ability to engage others and build strong business relationships.
• Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; proficiency in Veeva is a plus.
• Must be able to travel up to 30%, including frequent overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Meets or exceeds sales objectives for assigned geography through approved market/selling strategies.
• Understands and addresses business and scientific needs of healthcare professionals through meaningful dialogue.
• Partners with Medical Science Directors, Patient Access, and other teams to plan strategies for customer satisfaction.
• Develops and implements a dynamic territory business plan by analyzing market and competition.
• Builds relationships with KOLs, physicians, hospital staff and ALS center personnel.
• Navigates formulary processes to position products effectively.
• Anticipates challenges, adjusts priorities, and develops solutions.
• Maintains high proficiency in selling, clinical, and product knowledge.
• Collaborates with peers to achieve corporate objectives and initiatives.
• Plans schedules for maximum efficiency and goal achievement.
