Job summary

UBMD Neurology is seeking a detail-oriented General Scheduler to support scheduling operations for a busy neurology practice in Buffalo, NY. This role coordinates new and established patient appointments, verifies insurance eligibility, reviews referrals, and ensures patients are scheduled with the appropriate subspecialty provider.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to patient service in a fast-paced healthcare

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of medical scheduling or healthcare administrative experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred).

Responsibilities

• Schedule new and established patient appointments.
• Verify insurance eligibility and referrals.
• Review referrals and ensure appropriate subspecialty matches.
• Coordinate across providers and locations.
• Maintain EMR documentation and patient charts.
• Provide courteous, confidential patient service.
