Qualifications

• BS/BA or related four-year degree; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years in healthcare/biotech with field-based account management or reimbursement.
• Experience with patients and caregivers; rare disease experience a plus.
• Deep understanding of insurance products and medication reimbursement.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
• Familiarity with biotech regulatory environment (FDA, HIPAA, Anti-Kickback).

Responsibilities

• Work with patients to navigate insurance, prior authorizations, and appeals.
• Educate on payer policies and coverage processes.
• Assess patient needs and recommend solutions, including alternate insurance options.
• Coordinate documentation with payers and care teams.
• Support patient advocacy activities and rare disease networking.
• Coach and mentor new team members.
