Job summary

Endeavor Health in Arlington Heights, IL, seeks a Patient Care Technician for the Neurology Unit (Nights) to support patient care and safety. The role includes assisting with basic care, mobility, vital signs, and documentation in the EMR, under RN/LPN supervision.

Full-time, 36 hours per week, night shift 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, every other weekend. CNA certification and CPR are required; orientation will be held during the first week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA certification and CNA exam completed; EMT or paramedic training also accepted; or enrollment in a nursing program with clinical rotation.
• Current CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care needs under the supervision of a RN/LPN.
• Assist with mobility and safety, using proper body mechanics.
• Obtain vitals, input/output, accu-checks, and report abnormalities to the nurse; document care.
• Assist with admitting, discharging, transferring, and observing patients; answer unit phones and direct calls.
