Job summary

You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients, scheduling visits, verifying insurance, collecting copays, and coordinating referrals to support efficient visits.

The role requires a high school diploma, experience in a medical office is preferred, and bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in a medical office or billing preferred; knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills; proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office; accuracy and dependability required; bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner using appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to transfer patients to the appropriate staff member/provider.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
