Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a Medical Receptionist / Business Services Rep for its Primary Medicine Team in Southbury. The role involves greeting patients, handling calls, routing to the right staff, and scheduling appointments to optimize provider productivity.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, medical office experience, and strong keyboard skills, with proficiency in Windows and MS Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a medical office or billing department preferred.
• Knowledge of patient billing and medical terminology preferred.
• Excellent keyboard skills required.
• Proficiency in Windows-based environment and Microsoft Office products.
• Accuracy and dependability required.

Responsibilities

• Greets and communicates with patients via phone or in person in a courteous and professional manner identifying themselves and their department.
• Answers telephones in a timely, courteous, and professional manner utilizing appropriate scripting.
• Processes calls to ensure patients are transferred to the appropriate staff member/provider in a timely manner.
• Schedules patient appointments based on department protocols to maximize provider productivity.
