Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA) certification required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Proficient in electronic medical records and basic computer tasks.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills enlisted by the clinic.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms patients for exams, collects vital signs and databases health information.
• Monitors and supports quality improvement measures with clinician notification.
• Performs basic lab procedures (e.g., swabs, cultures) using aseptic technique.
• Assists physicians/APP with procedures as needed.
• Administers routine medications per orders or standing protocols.
• Ensures smooth clinic flow and effective patient communication.
• Demonstrates patient age-appropriate care and safety.
