Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Full-time Medical Assistant in Neurology to join our team. The role supports exam preparation, patient vitals, specimen collection, and collaboration with physicians and APPs.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or GED (Associate degree preferred), BLS certification, and 1 year experience; CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA preferred. Benefits include health plans and retirement options.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in Medical Assisting preferred.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA preferred.
• Proficient with electronic medical records and basic computer skills.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vital signs and gathering/documenting pertinent health information.
• Monitors and supports quality improvement measures within scope.
• Performs laboratory procedures and specimen collection.
• Assists physicians and APPs with procedures as directed.
• Administers routine medications under approved orders or protocols.
• Facilitates referrals and coordinates care with the health team.
