Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for the Wake Forest Health Network in Advance, NC. The full-time position supports clinical operations, rooms patients, collects vitals, and performs routine lab and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will hold a completed Medical Assistant program and current certification (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRMA or equivalent), with at least 1 year of experience preferred. BLS certification is required, and EMR proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform routine and complex medical assistant tasks within the scope of practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and team.
• Proficient computer skills including keyboarding and navigating Windows and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam and documents health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
• Assists physicians with procedures such as pelvic exams and colposcopy.
• Administers routine medications under orders or standing protocols.
• Ensures smooth clinic flow and communicates with the care team and patient.
• May perform basic clinical support tasks under supervision.
