Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health, Springfield Regional Medical Center, is seeking a Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk for Neurology - Med Surg. This full-time, night-shift role supports patient care under RN supervision and acts as a liaison between patients and the care team.

The position requires completion of a PCT program or nursing student with first clinical rotation, HS diploma (preferred), and BLS (preferred). Candidates should be prepared for high-stress, variable workloads and off-site travel as

Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred.
• Nursing student with first clinical rotation OR state testing completed (required).
• Successful completion of PCT training program within 6 months of start date.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic patient care under RN supervision, including vitals, hygiene, mobility, and comfort.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes or concerns.
• Delivers high-level customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.
• Performs accurate, timely documentation of patient care.
• Maintains professional communication at all times.
