Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC - Univ) seeks an experienced Program Coordinator to direct the Neurology educational programs, including the Neurology Medical Student Clerkship, visiting students, and observerships. This role provides advanced support to the Vice Chair for Education, the Clerkship Director, and the Neurology Careers in Medicine Advisor.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree and two years relevant program experience.
• Experience coordinating medical education programs preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Neurology Medical Student Clerkship and oversee activities for third- and fourth-year medical students and visiting students.
• Schedule fourth-year neurology electives and relay schedules to students, faculty and sites.
• Serve as liaison among students, course directors, faculty, sites, and the College of Medicine.
• Track attendance and submit reports to the Dean’s Office regarding student performance.
• Coordinate credentialing and onboarding for rotating students at multiple locations.
• Maintain affiliation agreements with external hospitals and rotation sites.
• Manage the Visiting Student Learning Opportunities (VSLO) program and ensure policy compliance.
• Provide admin support to the Vice Chair for Education and the Neurology Careers in Medicine Advisor.
• Support MUSC Speech-Language Pathology student rotations within Neurology clinics.
