Job summary

Atlantic Health System seeks a Certified Medical Assistant I in Warren, NJ for full-time daytime hours (9am–5pm) in AMG Primary Care. You will support physicians, collect vitals, manage records, and help coordinate patient flow across the clinic.

EPIC EMR experience is preferred and ongoing training is provided. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CCMA certification, and 1–2 years outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• National Certification CCMA from: NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT.
• Precertification agreement must be signed if expiring or within 60 days of employment.
• EPIC or similar EMR system experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient intake, update medical records, and record vital signs.
• Assist with examinations and collect specimens under physician supervision.
• Perform clerical and clinical tasks to keep clinic operations running smoothly.
• Guide patients through the healthcare system and help them reach appointments on time.
• Maintain clean exam rooms and prepare rooms for patient visits.
• Provide emotional support per the plan of care and assist with referrals.
