Southern Ohio Medical Center is seeking a Credentialed Medical Assistant for Neurology Associates in Portsmouth, OH. This on-site, full-time role supports providers with patient exams, data collection, and coordination of care.

The position requires CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/AMCA credentials and BLS certification within 90 days. Responsibilities include assisting with exams, collecting vitals, referrals, lab coordination, and ensuring supplies and documentation are up to date.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, AMCA) required.
• BLS within 90 days of hire required.
• Minimum one month of on-the-job training preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist the provider with patient examinations, procedures, venipuncture, and diagnostic testing.
• Collect and document patient vitals, chief complaints, pain assessment, and medical history.
• Phone/email prescriptions to pharmacies and coordinate with care teams.
• Ensure clinical supplies are stocked and maintain chart/documentation accuracy.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with Surgery and Central Scheduling as needed.
