Mount Carmel Health System in Westerville, Ohio is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care in the neurology specialty under the guidance of the provider and nurse team. This full-time position supports the clinic at 495 Cooper Rd, with Ohio scope of practice. Typical hours are Monday–Thursday 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1-2 years medical experience or higher degree in science/health; MA program preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certification or Registration preferred.
• 1–2 years medical assisting experience preferred; 2–3 years in medical office if no degree.

Responsabilités

• Welcome and room patients: height, weight and vitals.
• Review medical history, chief complaints and gather other information.
• Referral and prior authorization.
• Answer in basket messages, patient follow up calls and messages.
• Using EPIC.
