Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH is seeking a Credentialed Medical Assistant to support Urology Associates. You will assist providers with patient exams, record vitals, document medical history, and process prescriptions to pharmacies, while handling equipment and patient education.

Requires High School Diploma and CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/AMCA credentials with BLS within 90 days. Full-time, 40 hrs/week; competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Credentialed Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Minimum one month of on-the-job training preferred.
• Ability to assist the provider with exams and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Assist the provider with patient exams and procedures.
• Collect and document vitals, chief complaints, and medical history.
• Document prescriptions sent to pharmacies and manage chart notes.
• Ensure clinical supplies are stocked and organized.
• Coordinate scheduling and referrals with Surgery/Central Scheduling.
