Job summary

Banner University Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support two Primary Care clinics in the Tucson market. You will help prepare patients, assist clinicians with exams, and manage referrals and scheduling, while ensuring accurate charting and a positive patient experience.

The role requires completion of an approved MA training program and an active MA certification. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical setting and travel to community sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; completed medical assistant training program preferred.
• Active Medical Assistant Certification is required.
• Strong computer skills and good interpersonal communication abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exams by taking vitals and documenting chief complaints.
• Assist providers with exams and minor in-office procedures.
• Coordinate care including referrals, authorizations, and scheduling of tests and treatments.
• Provide clerical support and ensure accurate documentation for billing.
• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment following sterilization and safety guidelines.
• Order supplies and assist with medication management as directed.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members to support patient care.
