Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of an approved medical assistant program.
• Active MA certification with proof of membership (RMA, CMA, CCMA, NCMA).
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for exam and treatment by taking vital signs and recording chief complaint.
• Assist providers with exams and in-office procedures, including phlebotomy and EKGs; act as a chaperone as needed.
• Coordinate and manage patient care, including referrals, authorizations, prescriptions, and scheduling; communicate test results to patients.
• Provide clerical support for medical records and billing documentation; ensure timely data entry.
• Maintain a clean, stocked exam environment and manage equipment sterilization and upkeep.
