Job summary

Capital Health Medical Group is seeking a Neurohospitalist to examine and treat patients with neurological conditions, including brain and spinal disorders. You will perform exams, order tests, and manage care end-to-end.

The role requires an MD/DO with BC/BE in Neurology, NJ & PA licenses, and 3+ years of specialty training, with a 40-hour workweek and on-site responsibilities at the Rockford, IL area facility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of specialty training from an accredited neurology residency program.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat neurological disorders affecting the brain, spine, and nerves.

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as needed.
• Prescribe treatments and medications to improve condition.
• Order and interpret neurological tests to guide care.
• Maintain accurate medical records for billing and compliance.

Capital Health Medical Group is seeking a Neurohospitalist who will be responsible for examining and treating patients who experience disorders, illnesses and injuries that affect the nerves, spinal cord and brain. Their duties include conducting physical examinations, collecting spinal fluid or other samples and running neurological tests to identify problems.

Opportunity Details:

• Diagnosing complex medical problems by referring to a patient’s history, examining them and conducting neurological tests
• Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management strategies
• Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatments or medication as needed
• Prescribe treatments or medication best suited to improve the patient’s condition
• Order tests and interpret results in order to determine the best treatment options
• Keep accurate patient medical records; completing all necessary documentation to allow for timely and efficient billing and claim submittal
• Attend training and seminars to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in neurology
• Participates in on-call schedule in a responsive and timely manner
